Welcome to Birdsbesafe fans and friends down under. It's spring there and time to help protect birds from cats. Birdsbesafe orders have started arriving from those countries. Wonderful!

Birdsbesafe and Tropical Storm Irene

Our Vermont hillside home was not troubled by the flooding from Irene, but the road to town has seen some very bad damage from flooding. We are proud to say two things:
Nature is great and sometimes nature puts us in our place by showing how mighty her forces can be. Our neighbor measured thirteen inches of rain on the day that Tropical Storm Irene sat over us with drenching rains. The mountains and hills that feed the brook released a lot of water to it, quickly, and the brook raged and became a flooded river, overspilling and running down our roads.
