Robins for Birdsbesafe
Apr/16/2009
The robins have been back for weeks now, the maple trees sap run must surely be near an end, and I have only one patch of snow left in my Vermont yard. Phew. Soon it will be time to watch for warblers!
Birdsbesafe Cat Collar biz is doing well.

Birdsbesafe Cat Collar biz is doing well. We’ll be at International Migratory Birds Day in Huntington VT (hosted by Vermont Audubon and Birds of Vermont Museum.) We’ll chat with people at the museum, have collars for sale and talk to people who might want to contribute to our ongoing research about the collar’s effectiveness.
If you want to buy a collar on the Web site AND be part of our research study, please email us when you make your purchase. We’re developing a short questionnaire about your cat’s experiences: how did your cat’s hunting habits change? Help us get more information for the ornithologists to review.
Birdsbesafe Cat Collars are on sale at Birds of Vermont Museum (starting May 1) and Guy’s Farm and Yard in Montpelier VT. Much much more is in the works, but that’s it for now.
Be well, and happy birding. If you let your cat outdoors this spring, let it out wearing its new Birdsbesafe Cat Collar!
