Saving wild birds from outdoor cats

Birdsbesafe in the News

Birdsbesafe received its first press last week. George, our cat, got his picture in the paper, too!
Birdsbesafe received its first press last week. George, our cat, got his picture in the paper, too!

See the link on the “Press” page for the complete story in the Waterbury Record and the Stowe Reporter. The phone rang with orders and some internet orders came in. Happy days for bird-loving cat owners.

Birdsbesafe is now in five area stores and at the nature shop at the Birds of Vermont Museum. If you haven’t seen their collection of carved birds there, you’re missing a treat. Check it out.

Today, with the spring leaves filling out and the robins numerous near the house, George was observed trying to do a little hunting. He got down low into a stalking stance watching a robin that was on the ground at the edge of the woods. Before I could say “where’s my camera?” the robin flew off. Actually, before I could say “where’s...” ! It doesn’t take long for the bird to notice George, but it was a good reminder to me of why I am happy running this business.

Get a Birdsbesafe Cat Collar before the fledgling birds are in your yard this year! And remember to send us feedback on how your cat’s hunting changes when you do. Thanks.
