Saving wild birds from outdoor cats

George Not Catching Birds

It’s mid-June and about to officially be summer. The songbirds are nesting and in the evening, at my house, we stroll the roads in the evening to hear the wood thrushes and veerys in choral splendor.

George, our cat, has had no luck hunting since his one capture in the garden (a phoebe on a nest, which he stalked for days).

All has been calm--except he lost his Birdsbesafe Cat Collars several times. It usually turns up in the yard, near his cat door, but lately he must have had a trick because he kept showing up without it in the morning.

If you have trouble with your cat prying off the Birdsbesafe cat collar, then make sure you follow our fitting instructions on the FAQ page.

Thanks, and keep protecting wild birds from cats.
