A Study of Birdsbesafe by St. Lawrence University

August 26, 2013

Dr. Susan Willson, a biology professor at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, (US), is beginning to recruit cats and their owners for a study on the effectiveness of Birdsbesafe cat collar covers this fall. We have to say we're thrilled with this development. She has 58 cats (and their owners) signed up for a 8-week study.

You can read more about it in this article from the magazine Adirondack Life's blog. Dr. Willson is a specialist in bird biology. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.

A few weeks ago, we saw this unidentified Thrush species, with a few other birds, grazing over a period of days as they fed for the long flights to come. And today, there were Dark-eyed Juncos and a small flock of these Sparrows.
