SHIPPING: We ship Monday–Friday, except holidays. We ship within 2 business days, usually within 1 day. Our packages are shipped with First Class via U.S. Postal Service, and we will send you a tracking number via email. (Packages always ship with "package rate" due to our items size.)

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Do you live outside the United States? Select your country, when prompted. Shipping fees vary, but reflect our shipping cost with US Postal Service. Additional charges for customs or VAT fees may be added when the parcel is in your country; these fees are your responsibility. The proper customs information is on the outside of our packages. Sometimes, processing in customs offices may take a week or more, and you may receive notice that you need to pick up your package at your post office.

INTERNATIONAL ORDER SIZE LIMITS:  The following countries have a $100 USD limit: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, EU (except Germany), Ireland and the United Kingdom. These limits help our packages get smoothly through customs, without large fees on delivery and in general, are meant to help customer satisfaction. In Germany, due to customs and delivery problems with our properly labeled packages, we have a temporary limit on your purchase total of $30, while we look for remedies. Your packages may be delayed in Germany in customs offices, for 1 - 2 weeks. We apologize for these circumstances beyond our control.

ORDER FULFILLMENT ERRORS: Please contact us right away if there is an error. We are very careful, but we are human. We will help you resolve the situation.

PAYMENTS to OUR WEBSITE'S ONLINE STORE: Please make your purchases with a major credit card directly or by using Paypal. We will see your order details, but we never your sensitive financial information. (We use the Shopify platform, and its trusted payment gateway "Stripe".)

AMAZON ORDERS: You can use Amazon's usual methods to reach us for customer service inquiries. Alternatively, you can reach out to us with the contact form on this website and we will help you directly. We are the only seller of our products on Amazon, and we fulfill our orders ourselves. We follow Amazon policies when acting as a seller on Amazon

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.birdsbesafe.com (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

WHEN PURCHASING FROM THE SITE
Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we or the payment platform software that we us, including Shopify, Stripe or Paypal, will collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

NOTE: SENSITIVE FINANCIAL DATA WE DO NOT SEE: The owners of the Site, Birdsbesafe LLC, do not see or have access to your exact sensitive payment details, such as credit card numbers or Paypal account payment information. That specific data is used by the Payment Processing software, and at the Site, we only see the amounts paid and the method of payment, not the credit card numbers or other sensitive individual banking details. We do not have access to those sensitive financial details/data.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

EMAIL NEWSLETTER SIGN UP INFO: For email newsletters, you must acknowledge and sign up for our customer newsletter on the form on the Site. If you do not sign up, we DO NOT sign you up using your data. Any email marketing we do, will always have an easy opt-out process, for your further control.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
