I've got a female cat who is a formidable hunter. But she has not been able to kill a single bird since I bought the collar more than a year ago. She did loose one, which I guess is a good thing, since she may have gotten caught on something and was able to get away. She doesn't mind it at all, now that she is used to it. The first day I put the collar on her she kept running from one end of the house to the other, which was quite entertaining, but she didn't mind it at all fairly quickly. I do still limit the times she is outside like early morning and in the evenings when the birds are feeding. Thank you BirdsBSafe for coming up with such an awesome collar!
Our cat loves to spend time in our yard, but he learned to catch birds with some acrobatic moves. Zero birds have been caught since he started wearing the collar. In addition to saving countless birds, these collars are a great conversation starter.
I ordered this breakaway cat collar in three colors, one for each of my cats. I’m delighted with the collars! Pretty, bright colors, plus strong fabric that won’t tear or break apart. But the best feature is the clasp: I can quickly pull it apart to open it without having the fuss of trying to unbuckle it while the cat wiggles and resists. It’s just as easy to put it on the cat— the ends just click together.
So far, so good! My cat is young and quite active! He loves to romp about outdoors! He has in the past, brought his catches indoors! Clearly very disturbing to me! I didn’t want to hurt his feelings, I know it’s his instincts. I needed to set him up to lovingly fail! It’s been almost a month, no catches! Not to mention he looks adorable! They are comfortable for him to wear all day, eating and napping is fine! I’m quite pleased!
Our cat Bubba was raised as an outdoor cat and we’ve been helping him transition to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. It took him a little time but now he’s fine with the collar. What I like about it is: 1. It looks so cute on him. 2. It’s wide enough to have an AirTag hidden inside so we can keep track of where he goes (and find the collar when he loses it). And 3. Most importantly our neighbor has noticed a decrease in bird deaths around their bird feeder. Since we started using the collar in 2024 Bubba has only brought home 1 bird. Our neighbor is happy and we’re happy too! That’s why we decided to get this 3 pack since our first collar worked so well.

Fabric is very light, so my cat doesn't mind wearing his collar cover, all good!
Before my cat Lady got her birdbesafe collar, she brought me a bird almost everyday. Now that she’s wearing her stylish red collar—so becoming on a black cat—she has brought zero gifts. Thank goodness! She allows me to put the collar on before she goes out, and I make a fuss about how beautiful and stylish it looks. Everyone, including the birds, is much happier.
