Pye is very content wearing his collar. He’s been wearing one for about a year. Every morning I tell him that I need to put his collar on him before he can go outside. He looks up at me and waits for me to slip it on him.
I’ve been using these (and a homemade equivalent) for four years now. Our cats have only ever killed a bird when they accidentally went outside without a bird collar! As a veterinarian, I try to educate my clients on bird predation by cats and always recommend the Birds Be Safe collar.
Our cats are the handsomest, and thankfully the birds are safe. The only thing I would do different is start sooner, before they get any birds.
Jake the Rascal showing off his Birds Be Safe collar, making him believe he's the coolest kitty dude in the neighborhood.
I often have to reorder as he does give them away from time time.
Thank you Birds Be Safe for all you do to save song birds and make kitties look cool in the process.
